Happy 1st birthday, Fodongo!

Thank you for reading and supporting independent artists, and for making Free-Culture. Thank you for this first year to all the wonderful artists who have been part of this, and to everyone who has read our comics.

May we celebrate many more.

Issue #10, OUT NOW!

And we got to the 10th issue of the zine! Really thrilled with how this issue turned out, excited to have a new short series starting and to have been doing this project for almost 1 year! I’ll have to think of a way to mark the occasion, but if nothing else I will make a drawing of the Frog. Incredibly thankful to everyone who has supported it and to all the artists that have contributed with their amazing art and stories. I appreciate you all so much.

Same as usual, you can get a digital copy from the GeeseGoose Media Co-Op online store for $3CAD, and 50% of all revenue is redistributed among participating artists! And thanks to BootlegPotato this time around part of that revenue will be donated to the Spirit of the Children Society. 🙂

You can also wait because the comics will be released here and through the newsletter in the following order:

  1. Bolt Action Banshee Part 4 – by Zach Acherman (October 28)
  2. Slumberland Nap Part 1 – by Bootleg Potato (November 4th)
  3. After Zombie – by SPRAK (November 11th)
  4. Everybody Loves Smiley (06) – by Jectoons (November 18th)

And after that the zine will be available for download for free or by paying if you want to support us and the Fodongo project.

Thanks for reading and supporting Free-Culture and independent artists.

Fodongo Issue #9, OUT NOW!

A bit late again, but full of comics!

Keep reading Bolt Action Banshee, by Zach Acherman; take a trip to the museum by the hand of Tom Truszkowski; contradict yourself alongside María Izquierdo Barri; and things are found in the newest installment of Everybody Loves Smiley!

You can purchase the digital zine from the GeeseGoose.ca store!

All these comics will also be available for reading here eventually. This is the timeline for now:

  • Bolt Action Banshee Part 3 by Zach Acherman – September 23rd
  • The Secret of the Haunted Art Museum by Tom Truszkowski – September 30th
  • Contradictions by María Izquierdo Barri – October 7th
  • Everybody Loves Smiley (05) by Jectoons – October 14th

Subscribe to the Newsletter or to the RSS feed if you want to check them out as soon as they come out.

Thank you for reading and for supporting independent artists and Free-Culture. See you next week with another comic!

Fodongo Issue #8, out NOW!

Somehow we made it, it is still July, I WIN!

But seriously, here’s the latest issue of Fodongo, featuring the continuation of Bolt Action Banshee and Everybody Loves Smiley, as well as 2 new comics by Haruka Kanata and BurnedCoffee! You can buy it here!

That’s right, starting with this issue all subsequent digital zines can be acquired from the GeeseGoose Media Co-Op online store! That is the producer cooperative that I (Jectoons) am a part of, so please give it a look if you can.

Here’s the release schedule for this issue:

Thanks for reading and supporting independent artists and Free-Culture. See you next week with the 3rd installment of Everybody Loves Smiley.

Issue 7, Out Now!

You can buy it right now from the Zine Store, or click the button below. Every sale is distributed among participating artists, so if you want to support them, that’s the way to go!

Thank you infinitely if you choose to do that! Right now I am trying to gather funds to increase the commissions I pay artists for the Second Year of the Zine, and every little bit helps. If you’d like to get the issues as soon as they come out you can become a supporter on Ko-Fi; or on Patreon, where there’s a couple of extra tiers with more perks! If you want to become a supporter just for the sake of it, you can donate via liberapay.

If you can’t or don’t want to buy the issue right now, that’s alright! Over the course of the next few weeks the comics will be published here on the site. Here’s the release schedule if you’re curious:

Thank you for reading and supporting independent artists and Free-Culture.

See you next week with more Everybody Loves Smiley.
